Massive omnivores weighing between 600 and 900 pounds, Grizzlies eat everything from large mammals to fish, birds, berries, nuts, tubers and rodents. Litters of one to four pups are born in their mother's winter den while she hibernates. A pronounced hump, enormous claws and brown color distinguish them from black bears.
